Janmikell Bastardo was the star of the show against Texas Southern, hitting two home runs to help power the Rattlers past the Tigers 9-1 in the opening round of the SWAC tournament. Hunter Viets (6-1) started on the mound and picked up the win for Florida A&M. Viets went seven shutout innings while giving up five hits, allowing no walks, and striking out five. Zach Morea also made an impact on the mound for the Rattlers, throwing one shutout inning while allowing no hits, with no walks and one strikeout. Adam Haidermota went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs, and one walk. Jared Weber also chipped in for the Rattlers, going 3-for-5 with a walk and an RBI.
