TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The Florida A&M Rattlers fell 11-8 in a nine-inning matchup to the Alabama State Lady Hornets Sunday morning after the game was delayed Saturday night.
Senior Nadia Zenteno (7-7) took the loss in the circle for Florida A&M (17-16, 10-5).
Senior Jane'a Mobley led the way offensively for the Rattlers, going 2-for-3 in the ballgame with two doubles and two walks. Senior Brianne Hill put together a standout day at the dish as well, going 2-for-3 with two walks. Senior Jania Davis also chipped in, going 1-for-6 for Florida A&M with two RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rattlers were trailing 5-0 in the third inning when they first put runs on the board. Sophomore Kiauna Watson came across to score the lone run of the inning for Florida A&M and get them on the board.
The Rattlers deficit grew to 8-1 before their offense got back on the scoreboard, cutting into that deficit in the fourth inning. Florida A&M managed to push across two runs in the inning, which brought the score to 8-3 in favor of the Lady Hornets.
