Granger records 6 strikeouts in Florida A&M's 4-3 win over Grambling

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Sophomore Caleb Granger registered six strikeouts in five innings of work in the Florida A&M Rattlers 4-3 win over the Grambling Tigers on Saturday.

In addition to his six strikeouts, Granger (1-1) threw five shutout innings while giving up four hits and walking one for Florida A&M (5-7). Senior Zach Morea also made an impact on the mound for the Rattlers, throwing one scoreless inning while allowing no hits, with no walks and one strikeout.

Freshman Jordan Brown led the way offensively for the Rattlers, going 2-for-2 in the ballgame with a walk. Sophomore Will Brown put together a noteworthy performance at the plate as well, going 1-for-2 with a double. Junior Adam Haidermota also helped out, going 1-for-3 for Florida A&M with an RBI.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Rattlers got on the scoreboard first, starting in the fifth inning. Florida A&M scored three times, picking up one on an RBI base knock off the bat of junior Ty Jackson.

The Rattlers then held the Tigers scoreless before getting back on the board the very next inning. Sophomore Will Brown came across to score the lone run of the inning for Florida A&M, which brought the Rattlers lead to 4-0.
