Tallahassee, FL |  Florida A&M baseball prepares for a mid week matchup versus Troy University tomorrow at 5 PM. The Rattlers traveled to Troy, Alabama, a week ago, where they lost 10-0 to the Trojans.

Senior Janmikell Bastardo put together a stellar performance at the plate Sunday, hitting three homers to help power the Florida A&M Rattlers past the Alabama A&M Bulldogs 16-8. Junior Tre Simmons started on the mound and picked up the win for the Rattlers. Simmons went two innings, giving up two runs, both of them earned, on three hits, allowing four walks and striking out five. Bastardo went 3-for-3 at the plate, supplementing his three home runs with five RBIs. Senior Jared Weber added to Bastardo's awesome power-hitting performance by going 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI. Junior Ty Jackson also chipped in for the Rattlers, going 3-for-3 with a home run, a walk, and an RBI.
