TALLAHASSEE, FL --Senior Jared Weber collected five RBIs to help power the Florida A&M Rattlers past the Alabama A&M Bulldogs 13-3 on Saturday.

Sophomore Caleb Granger (3-1) got the win for Florida A&M (11-12, ). The right-hander went six innings, giving up three runs, all of them earned, on six hits, allowing two walks and striking out five. Junior Raylan Wagner also pitched well, going one shutout inning without allowing a hit.

Weber went 2-for-5 with a double and a home run in addition to his five RBIs for the Rattlers. Junior Sebastian Greico put together a noteworthy effort as well, going 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI. Junior Joseph Pierini also helped out for Florida A&M, putting together two hits in four trips to the plate while adding a double, a walk and an RBI.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Rattlers were trailing 1-0 in the first inning when they first put runs on the board. Florida A&M's offense started clicking and put up five runs, including a three-run home run off the bat of Weber and a two-run double from Greico.

The Rattlers then lost some of their lead, expanding on their advantage in the third inning after the Bulldogs cut it to 5-3. which brought the Rattlers lead to 8-3.

Florida A&M held Alabama A&M scoreless before building their lead to 10-3 in the fifth inning. The Rattlers pushed two runs across on a two-run double off the bat of Weber that brought home senior Ty Hanchey and senior Janmikell Bastardo.

Florida A&M held the Bulldogs without a run before building on their lead in the seventh inning. bringing the score to 13-3 in favor of Florida A&M. The score remained 13-3 for the rest of the game, as the Rattlers coasted to the win.
