How It Happened

SET ONE | The score was pretty even through the midpoint of the first. There were six ties before the 15-all standstill; however, the Rattlers claimed the set on a 10-1 run – crowned by a Milana Thornton service ace.

SET TWO | The final deadlock of the second stanza occurred at 19-all, though things remained close until the very last point. The Rattlers spoiled set point for PVAM on three occasions (back-to-back kills and an ace) before an attacking error closed the door.

SET THREE | The third required extra points, but down by as many as six, FAMU pulled off the upset. It outscored its counterpart, 12-5, en route to the 29-27 set win.

SET FOUR | The Rattlers persevered in a back-and-forth set that featured a lead change and 10 ties. Neither team was able to grab a lead larger than four points along the way.
