How It Happened
SET ONE | The first kill of the match belonged to the reigning SWAC Newcomer of the Week, Iyonnie Sanford, and after a pair of early 1-1 and 2-2 ties, the visiting Rattlers took off. They led 19-10 until a 9-3 Wildcat run but maintained the upper hand through the final point.Â
SET TWO | Florida A&M managed another sizeable lead, as many as five points (20-15), but BC-U again pressured to close the gap. FAMU was stuck at set point for three straight possessions before Watts' kill concluded the 25-22 frame.Â
SET THREE | Impressive serving helped the Rattlers to the 25-17 set win. Scroggins' service ace provided her team a 5-4 advantage -- FAMU recorded five in this stanza alone -- and they never surrendered their advantage.Â
