How It Happened
SET ONE | There was a tie or two in the early going of the first set; however, FAMU was never behind on the scoreboard. Things were tied at 6-all before it embarked on a 10-3 scoring rally.Â
Â
SET TWO | Alabama State commanded a 10-5 advantage, where half of its points stemmed from service aces. The team led by as many as seven until a 7-2 Rattler run allowed the visitors to pull within two (14-12), and that marked the closest point difference the rest of the way.Â
Â
SET THREE | The Hornets managed 18 points before FAMU reached double digits, and nearly half derived from the latter's miscues. The Rattlers finished the frame with an .079 hitting percentage and a set-high 10 errors.
