GAINESVILLE, Fla. | The Florida A&M track and field program faced stiff competition at the three-day Pepsi Florida Relays (March 31 - April 2) in Gainesville. The appearance saw three Rattlers finish in the top half of their field.

Jaylyn Scott raced alongside 38 other collegiate athletes in the 400-meter hurdles, where he finished sixth overall with one of the fastest times in the nation. The senior clocked in at 50.84, which currently ranks 11th on the 2022 NCAA Division I Outdoor Qualifying List.

Mia Heard represented the Rattler women well in her first appearance on the season - a 5.52-meter long jump that placed 13th -- while Dajon Clark continued to impress with a 6.90-meter effort in the event.

The Rattlers continue their Florida travels next week; this time further south to Miami in the Hurricane Alumni Invitational (April 8-9).
