Macon, Ga. | Florida A&M baseball will travel to Mercer University to take on the Bears in a two-game series on Tuesday (2/22) Wednesday (2/23).

The Rattlers are coming off a win in walk-off fashion, defeating Southern in the Andre Dawson Classic 8-7 to go 2-1. There were a couple of standouts for the Rattlers during the Classic weekend. Benjamin Krizen played a pivotal role for the Rattlers as he picked up his first win and save of the season. Krizen posted an ERA of 0.00 while striking out five batters in 3.2 innings pitched. Left-fielder Ty Hanchey also played a pivotal role, as he saw 13 at-bats, three runs, six hits, a double, 4 RBIs, and only two strikeouts.
Scouting the Bears
Mercer opened up its season, sweeping Eastern Kentucky in a three-game series. Mercer was picked to finish second in the SoCon baseball preseason coaches poll and media poll. Individually, five Bears were selected to the preseason All-SoCon team. Mercer is coming off a 35-22 season that saw them go 18-9 in SoCon play.
