Robertson Shines at UCF Knight Invite

The junior claimed two podium finishes in the high jump and triple jump.

ORLANDO - One meet separated the Florida A&M track and field program from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and the Rattlers shined.

FAMU used the UCF Knight Invite Saturday (April 24) for final preparations, and it featured five podium finishes, two by junior Rachel Robertson. The Atlanta native captured second place in the high jump (1.74m) and worked her way to a new personal record in the triple jump (12.36m). She has now posted eight "Top 3" performances in the events this outdoor season.

The second to cross the finish line in the men's 400-meter hurdles Jaylyn Scott bested all collegiate competition with a time of 51.20 - the winner of the race was an Adidas professional.

London Shaw also turned in a stellar effort in the shot put, where she placed second (12.50m), while Michael Crimbley notched a bronze-level act in the triple jump (14.47m).

The MEAC Championship takes place May 7-8 in Greensboro, N.C.
