FAMU Baseball Suffers Back-to-Back Losses at South Florida

Tampa, Fla.| Florida A&M baseball suffered back-to-back losses the series-opening doubleheader at South Florida (2-3). The Rattlers (0-6) dropped game one in seven innings, 3-1, and fell in game two, 13-0. 
 
Game 1
 
After a scoreless first three innings, FAMU got on the board first in the top of the fourth with a sacrifice fly by LJ Bryant that scored Octavien Moyer
 
The lead was short-lived, however, as USF's Riley Hogan blasted a three-run home run to center field. 
 
Neither team could plate anymore runs, however. FAMU was held to just two hits, while USF was able to muster six. 
 
The Rattlers' Kyle Coleman (0-2) tossed 6.0 innings striking out two batters while giving up three runs. USF's Jack Jasiak pitched 7.0 innings, striking out nine batters up one run on two hits and walking one. 
 
Game 2
 
While the first of the day was a low scoring battle, the second game was decisively won by the Bulls.
 
FAMU was outhit 17-3 as USF sprinted to a 13-0 victory.
 
Four Rattlers saw action on the mound in the nightcap. Josh Hancock (0-2) got the start, giving eight runs on nine hits with one walk and two strikeouts through 2.1 innings of action. Zach Morea pitched 0.2 innings in relief, surrendering one run on one hit, with one walk. Josh Wilson went 4.0 innings allowing four runs on seven hits while fanning five Bulls. Landon Neville finished the contest striking out three batters while walking one.
