TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | Florida A&M volleyball continued their dominance in the 3-0 sweep versus Southern (25-18, 25-19, 25-13) for their fifth consecutive sweep.
The Rattlers started the match showing no mercy from the offensive side as they recorded 16 kills in the first set. They also had a solid defensive showing, recording four blocks in the 25-18 set one win. The Rattlers continued to dominate the Jaguars as they outperformed them in all the major stat categories (points, kills, aces, blocks, assists, and digs).
Dominique Washington led the way offensively, posting 17 kills.
Karina Pressoir followed with 12, and
Aybuke Kocabiyik finished with nine.
Defensively,
Jessa Long and
Aybuke Kocabiyik led the way for the Rattlers. Long led the team with 18 digs, and Kocabiyik blocked three attacks.
The Rattlers return to action Sunday, October 17, as they host Alabama State at 3 p.m. in the Al Lawson Center.
