FAMU tabs home opener as Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night

Lady Rattlers to play host to Mercer in 2020 home opener

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | The Florida A&M University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics invites faculty and staff to the Lady Rattlers softball home opener against Mercer for "Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night" on Wednesday.
 
First pitch at the Lady Rattlers Softball Complex is set for 5 p.m. and admission is free.
 
The Lady Rattlers are coming of a heartbreaking 2-1 loss at No. 8 Florida on Sunday. Jamesia Stoudemire, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, cranked a solo home run in the first inning to give FAMU an early 1-0 lead, but the Gators answered back with two runs in the bottom of the third.
 
Nadia Zenteno threw a complete game for FAMU, giving up two runs on six hits in the loss.
