NORFOLK, Va. | Florida A&M University outfielder
Jamesia Stoudemire was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Softball Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday night.

Stoudemire, a native of Lake Wales, Fla., hit .417 last week with eight hits, including a double, solo home run and an RBI in five games at the Bubly Invitational. Against No. 8 Florida, Stoudemire had two hits in three at-bats, including a leadoff home run to give the Rattlers an early lead. For the weekend, she finished with a .706 slugging percentage.

Florida A&M returns to action on Wednesday with its 2020 home opener against Mercer. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m. from the Lady Rattler Softball Complex.
