Rattlers Remain Ranked in Major Polls

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | For the fifth week in a row, the Florida A&M University football team is ranked in both major Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) polls.

In the STATS FCS Poll, FAMU remained steady at No.12, while the Rattlers gained one spot in the FCS Coaches Poll to land at No. 13.

FAMU, winners of nine straight, also maintained its spot atop the HBCU football rankings for the fifth consecutive week. The Rattlers held on to the No.1 ranking in both the SBN Black College Football Poll and the BOXTOROW Coaches Poll.

North Carolina A&T remained the only other MEAC program to land in the major FCS polls. The Aggies are No. 25 (STATS) and No. 24 (Coaches).

The SBN Black College Football Poll is the major poll that will announce its Black College National Champion. With a win on Saturday, N.C. A&T will head to the Celebration Bowl, but unlikely to repeat as Black College National Champions. With a victory on Saturday in the Florida Blue Florida Classic, the Rattlers will more than likely earn the crown as Black College National Champs.

The 12th-ranked Rattlers will hit the road for the season finale against BCC in the Florida Blue Florida Classic. Saturday's kickoff is set for 3:30 pm. at Camping World Stadium in Orland and will broadcasted live on ESPN News.
