TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Sept. 23) - The Florida A&M Rattlers and Lady Rattlers competed in the Florida State University Cross Country meet today at Apalachee Park in Tallahassee.
Shuaib Winters, finished the men's 8K run with the school's highest individual position at No.21. His time of 26:32.25, put him just outside of the top 20 performances, in the race that included over 150 runners. The event had representation from virtually every college in the region, which included FSU, Auburn, Valdosta State, Troy University and the University of North Florida. As a team, the Rattlers finished in 12th place.
On the women's side, there was a total team effort, as the Lady Rattlers finished fifth in the meet. The top position for the Lady Rattlers went to Chandelic Jackson, who finished in a time of 19:39.27 in the 5K race. She was followed closely by Nadine Mulvaney, who finished in 19:43.12.
