Florida A&M

Condric Sanders enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Florida A&M University men's basketball team. A veteran of the collegiate coaching ranks, Sanders comes to Florida A&M via Lewis University in Chicago where he spent the 2009-2011 seasons as an assistant coach. While there he helped the Flyers to back-to-back 17-12 marks, and a 2011 GLVC North Conference tie.

Prior to Lewis, Sanders spent a season at NAIA powerhouse Robert Morris University in Chicago. While there, Sanders helped the Eagles to a mark of 30-4 and a berth in the 2009 NAIA Final Four.

Prior to joining Robert Morris, Sanders spent 10 years as both a student/assistant and assistant at Junior College powerhouse Highland Community College in Freeport, IL from 1998-2001 and 2003-2008. While there, the Cougars won the region 4 tournament in 2001 and from 2003-2008 the Cougars made five straight appearances in the NJCAA Division 1 National Tournament, including a berth in the 2006 Final Four. Highland Community College was voted by Basketball Times as the 4th best junior college program of that decade, winning seven region 4 tournaments and making six appearances in the NJCAA National tournament.

Sanders also served as a substitute teacher in the Chicago Public School system and as a youth care worker for Methodist Youth Services. He earned a B.A degree in Sociology/African Studies from Western Illinois University in 2003. Off the court, he loves working with at-risk kids, sub-teaching and mentoring youth in community involvements.
