Doug Lipscomb became the Director of Equipment Operations at Florida A&M University in August 2021.
A native of Atlanta, Ga., Lipscomb comes to Florida A&M after spending seven years at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), from which he completed his undergraduate and master's degree.
During his time at MTSU, Lipscomb was a student manager for the men's basketball team during undergrad, winning two C-USA Championships and winning an NCAA Tournament game in back-to-back seasons. After his time as a manager for the men's basketball team, Lipscomb moved to the equipment room as a graduate assistant while working towards his master's degree. Lipscomb completed two seasons in the football equipment room for MTSU.
Lipscomb earned a bachelor's degree in leisure sport and tourism studies in 2017 and a master's degree in leisure sport and tourism studies in 2019. Lipscomb has a daughter named Dakota.
