High School: Graduated from Fort White High School in December of 2024…ranked a three-star recruit and the No. 30 athlete by On3...spent his senior year at Fort White where he totaled 24 catches for 258 yards and four touchdowns, all team-bests…caught 25 passes for 502 yards and five touchdowns his junior year and had 12 receptions for 236 yards and four scores the season prior...spent junior season at Buchholz High School in Gainesville where he caught 25 passes for 502 yards and five touchdowns…helped Bobcats reach semifinals of Florida’s 4S playoffs…played his sophomore season at Oak Hall, where he caught 12 passes for 236 yards and four touchdowns…earned offers from Texas A&M, Penn State, Boise State and BYU…
 
Personal: Mike Jr. is the son of Chantal and Mike Peterson…has one brother, Gavin…his dad, Mike Sr., is the older brother of former Chicago Bears running back Adrian Peterson…father Mike Peterson Sr., starred at the University of Florida, helping lead the Gators to the 1996 National Championship before being selected in the second round (36th overall) of the 1999 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. Peterson Sr. enjoyed a 14-year NFL career with the Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Atlanta Falcons, earning Second-Team All-Pro honors before returning to the University of Florida as the football program's Director of Alumni Relations…the Peterson football legacy also includes Mike Jr.'s uncle, Adrian Peterson, a Georgia Southern legend who helped lead the Eagles to two NCAA Division I-AA National Championships and captured the 1999 Walter Payton Award as the nation's top FCS offensive player. Adrian later played seven seasons with the Chicago Bears before returning to Georgia Southern University to serve in athletics administration.
