Daniel Lemke joined the Florida A&M football staff in 2019. Lemke currently serves as Outside Linebackers Coach/Defensive Passing Game Coordinator/Recruiting Coordinator.
Lemke, a native of Maple Grove, Minnesota, came to FAMU after working as the assistant head coach (defensive coordinator/ recruiting coordinator/ strength and conditioning coordinator) at Graceland University from 2017 to 2019.
Prior to Graceland, Lemke worked as various Division II institutions including working as the assistant head coach (defensive coordinator/ director of strength and conditioning) at Northwestern Oklahoma State University (2014-2016). Before working at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Lemke worked at Upper Iowa University (2011-2014) as the defensive backs coach and strength and conditioning coordinator and at Saint Joseph's College (2009-2011) as the defensive backs and head strength and conditioning coach.
Lemke was also selected as the head coach of the D2 vs. NAIA challenge in 2014, as he led the D2 team, winning the game 38-10.
Lemke, a former strong safety at Western Michigan University (2001-2004) started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at St. Cloud State University.
Lemke earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science (2005) from Western Michigan University and a master's degree in sports management from St. Cloud State University in 2009. Lemke also received his certification in the National Strength and Conditioning Association - CSCS. Lemke is married to Theresa Lemke, and they have two boys Curtis and Jackson.
