Biography

2014: Royal played in six games in 2014, passing for 64 yards on eight (8) completions (22 attempts). He passed for 39 yards on 2-of-6 passing in a relief appearance against Tennessee State (9-27-14), and had 24 yards through the air on 3-of-7 passing the week prior against Coastal Carolina.

2013: Royal played in eight games last year, starting the last three games when Damien Fleming went down with a season-ending injury… He passed for 358 yards and 4 TDs on 30 completions (65 attempts), with 4 INTs… Tossed an 81-yard TD pass to Lemond Buice against Delaware State, in the same game he passed for a team season high 277 yards and 3 TDs (against Delaware State, 11-16-13)…

High School:  Royal was a four-year letter winner in football at Yulee High School in Yulee, Fla.  He reaped First Team All-County and All-District honors and he participated in the Florida vs. Georgia All-Star game. 

Personal:   Carson Royal was born on May 26, 1994 to Richard and Kathleen Royal in Jacksonville, Fla.  He is currently majoring in Mechanical Engineering and enjoys surfing and sports in his spare time.
