JUPITER, Fla. – Florida A&M Men's Golf closed with its best round of the two-day, 54-hole Florida Atlantic University Invitational on Tuesday, finishing up play at The Bears Club in Jupiter, Florida.
 
Florida A&M finished 10th in the 11-team field at 873 (296-291-286), nine strokes over par, shaving 10 shots off its score from the opening round on Monday morning to the third, and posting the fourth-lowest round of the day across the final 18 holes.
 
The host Florida Atlantic Owls shot a 27-under-par 837 (282-276-279) to win by one stroke over North Florida (279-279-280=838). Stetson was third at 841, followed by Lipscomb and UCF to round out the top five, respectively.
 
Mikail Darmawan and Miguel Silveira led the Rattlers charge, each shooting 219 to tie for 36th individually on the final leaderboard. Darmawan opened with a 71 and added rounds of 75 and 73, while Silveira was steady across the board at 73-73-73.
 
Sascha Robinson and Skyler Woods each finished at 220 to tie for 41st.
 
Woods was the most consistent Rattler down the stretch, following a 75 with a 74 and a 71 to close.
 
Taylor Bell shot the low round of the tournament for the Orange and Green, carding a 3-under 70 in the final round to finish at 221, tied for 45^th, respectfully.
 
Stetson's Uy Doan won medalist honors, running away with the individual title at 14-under 202 after rounds of 66-68-68 – the only player in the field to break 70 twice. FAU's NaShawn Tyson was runner-up at 205, and a trio of Florida golfers (Jackson Ormond, Parker Severs and Noah Kent) – all playing as individuals, rounded out the top five, with Ormond and Severs tying for third at 206.
 
Depth carried the Owls to the team victory.
 
Preston Worch (210) and Christian Veilleux (212) both finished inside the top 15 to go with Tyson's runner-up showing, giving the Owls three of the tournament's top nine finishers.
 
UNF kept the pressure on throughout, getting top 10 finishes from Easton Oliva (210) and Danny Wehle (211) to push the Ospreys within a single shot of the team title.
