GRAND HAVEN, Mich. – Sascha Robinson fired a three-day, three-round 219 to finish as the Florida A&M low-scorer as the Rattlers men's golf team took part in the fall season opening Folds of Honor at American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Michigan.
 
Georgia Tech ran away with the team title, closing with rounds of 272-284-278 for an 18-under 834 total to win by five strokes over a tie between Notre Dame and Texas, respectively.
 
FAMU posted rounds of 299-293-292 for an 884 total, 32 over par on the 7,213-yard, par-71 layout, finishing ahead of Army, Air Force and Navy in the standings.
 
Sascha Robinson, a 6-foot-6, junior from Plymouth, Massachusetts, led the Rattlers, carding rounds of 73-75-71 for a 219 total that left him in a tie for 40th place at six over par.
 
Senior Taylor Bell was next best for the Rattlers, shooting 75-71-74 for a 220 total to tie for 46th.
 
FAMU newcomer Mikail Darmawan, a senior transfer from South Tangerang, Indonesia, finished at 222 after rounds of 74-75-73, tying for 51st, while Emilio Garcia carded 77-73-74 for a 224 total to finish 55th.
 
Rounding out the scoring for the Rattlers was junior Miguel Silveira turning in a scorecard of 234 total on rounds of 85-74-75, placing 71^st, respectfully.
 
Georgia Tech's Max Emberson took medalist honors individually, firing a 63 in the opening round and finishing at 11-under 202 for the tournament, three strokes clear of Texas' Daniel Bennett, who shot 204. Kansas' William Baker was third at 205, followed by Ohio State's Vaughn Harber at 206 and Notre Dame's Jacob Modleski at 207.
 
Cincinnati took fourth in the team standings at 842 (-10), with Alabama fifth at 844 (-8). Michigan State and Ohio State tied for sixth at 849 (-3), Kansas finished eighth at 851 (-1), and Northwestern rounded out the top nine at 855 (+3).
 
Grand Valley State finished 10th, one spot ahead of FAMU, at 863 (+11), while Army (901), Air Force (906) and Navy (914) closed out the team standings.
 
The Rattlers get back to the links September 14-15, traveling to the Jackson T. Stephens Cup in Frisco, Texas.
