TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida A&M freshman outside hitter Ladonna Trantham has been named Southwestern Athletic Conference Co-Newcomer of the Week for the second time after a standout performance at the Jacksonville Tournament.
Trantham, a true freshman, led the Rattlers' offense across their three matches. She posted a team-high 30 kills, averaging 2.50 per set, while adding five block assists for 32.5 total points.
The Homewood, Illinois native also contributed defensively, collecting seven digs and recording a .846 reception percentage. She finished the week second on the team in kills per set and points per set (2.71).
