DESTIN, Fla. — Florida A&M's men's golf team continued its rise on the collegiate stage, securing an impressive eighth-place finish at the Sandestin Collegiate Classic, held at the Sandestin Resort's Raven course.

The Rattlers carded a team total of 845 over three rounds, finishing just 13 strokes behind tournament champion Middle Tennessee. Florida A&M showed consistency and grit against a competitive 13-team field featuring programs from across the South.

Leading the way for FAMU was Emilio Garcia, who turned heads with a three-round score of 206, good enough for a tie for sixth place individually. Garcia posted rounds of 73, 65 and 68, highlighted by his blistering second-round 65 that vaulted him up the leaderboard.

Right behind him, teammate Sascha Robinson delivered steady excellence, finishing tied for ninth with a 207. Robinson posted back-to-back rounds of 68 before closing with a 71 to secure his spot among the tournament's top 10.

The Rattlers also got valuable contributions from Miguel Ilas and Phalatphon Viboonviriyasakul, who both tied for 43rd at 216. Their consistent play across the weekend helped solidify Florida A&M's top-10 team finish.
