LAKE BLUFF, Ill. -- Florida A&M's Sascha Robinson carried the banner for Florida A&M and for HBCU golf at the 2025 Stephens Cup, finishing in 21st place with a score of +1. His showing in a highly competitive field demonstrated both his skill and the increasing visibility of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in the world of collegiate golf.

Robinson's Performance

Competing as an individual for Florida A&M, Robinson recorded rounds of E, -2, and +3. His strong second round pushed him into contention and showed his ability to post low numbers against top competition. Ultimately, his 21st-place finish put him alongside players from elite programs such as Texas, LSU, and Arizona—proof that HBCU golfers can stand toe-to-toe with the best in the nation.

HBCU Representation at the Stephens Cup

The Stephens Cup has built a reputation for showcasing premier collegiate golf talent, and this year's inclusion of HBCU athletes reaffirmed its commitment to diversity and growth in the sport. For players from schools often overlooked in golf's traditional power structure, this stage provided a valuable opportunity to gain national recognition.
