TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida A&M volleyball team heads into this week's Florida A&M Invitational with momentum on its side, showcasing not only firepower at the net but also a gritty defense that has kept opponents on their heels through the early part of the season.
In six matches, the Rattlers have compiled 208 kills and 313 points overall. Freshman outside hitter
LaDonna Trantham has been the team's go-to option offensively, racking up 43 kills and 55.5 points, while middle blocker
Iyonnie Sanford has added a team-high 44 kills. Setter
Bengisu Kazazlar has been the catalyst, dishing out 89 assists and chipping in seven service aces.

But Florida A&M's strength isn't limited to offense. The Rattlers' defense has been equally impressive, totaling 270 digs and 77 blocks this season.
Victoria Santana leads the team in digs with 50 and a stellar .930 reception percentage, while libero
Sydney Humes has anchored the back row with consistent passing. Up front,
Kristen Moore and Yaricel Rodríguez have dominated the net, combining for 33 blocks and frustrating opposing hitters.
