96.1 Jamz Named Official Radio Home of Florida A&M Football

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida A&M University football fans will have a new way to follow the Rattlers this season. Local station 96.1 Jamz has been named the official radio home of FAMU football, bringing live game-day broadcasts to listeners across the region.

Veteran broadcaster Melvin Beal will provide play-by-play coverage, while former Rattler standout Al Chester will serve as color analyst. Together, they will deliver in-depth analysis and real-time action for fans unable to attend games in person.

The partnership was made possible with the support of the 220 Quarterback Club, a longtime booster organization dedicated to advancing Florida A&M athletics.

"This is an exciting opportunity to give our fans even greater access to Rattler football," Beal said. "We're looking forward to bringing the energy of Bragg Memorial Stadium and the tradition of FAMU football directly to the community."

Vaughn Wilson, president of the 220 Quarterback Club, said the group is proud to help expand the reach of FAMU football. "The 220 Quarterback Club is honored to play a role in bringing Rattler football to more fans than ever before," Wilson said. "Our mission has always been to support the program, and this partnership ensures that Rattler Nation can stay connected on game day."

In addition to FM radio, fans can also stream every game live on the 96.1 Jamz mobile app and at 961jamz.com.
