Tallahassee, FL - Florida A&M 9052 women's basketball will host the Mississippi Valley State Devilettes for a SWAC matchup on Thursday.
The team is coming off a tough road trip from Louisiana, where they battled hard but fell short in both games. They will look to regain their momentum and secure a win at home.
Cheyenne McEvans leads FAMU in scoring, averaging 14 points per game, shooting 46.3% from the field and 39.1% from three-point range. The Rattlers have also gotten solid play from Sydney Hendrix, who averages 12 points on 45.6% shooting and leads the team in rebounds (7.2 rebounds per game).
The Devilettes enter the matchup with a 2-13 overall record and a 1-3 mark in SWAC play. The Devilettes are coming off a 69-52 victory against Prairie View A&M.
Offensively, the Devilettes average 56.6 points per game while shooting 33.3% from the field and 21.9% from beyond the arc. Sh'Diamond McKnight is the team's top scorer, averaging 11.5 points per game. Clemisha Prackett is also a top scorer, averaging 11.3 points per game while shooting 60.87% from the field.
The Rattlers will look to win another conference game at home. Tip off is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Al Lawson Center.
