Rattlers travel to Itta Bena for series versus Delta Devilettes

Itta Bena, Miss. –– Florida A&M softball travels to Itta Bena, Mississippi, looking to pick up more wins against Mississippi Valley State (1-17, 3-28) after winning the series versus the Delta Devils earlier this season.

The Rattlers enter the game atop the SWAC East standings at 14-4, with Mississippi Valley State in sixth at 1-17.

The Rattlers enter the series with one of the best performers in the SWAC after Zoryana Hughes was named pitcher of the week for the fifth time this season.

The Rattlers enter the series with the second-best batting average (.347) in conference play. They also ranked third in hits (168), and defensively, the Rattlers possess the best ERA (1.98).

The Delta Devilettes enter the series on a five-game losing streak and were swept by Alabama State, being outscored 30-8.

The first game is scheduled for Thursday, April 18, at 12 p.m. The Rattlers will play a doubleheader on Friday, April 19, beginning at 12 p.m.
