BATON ROUGE, LA --Jalen Speer and Keith Lamar combined to score 28 total points, but the Rattlers fell to the Southern Jaguars 58-44 on the road Monday.
The Rattlers (6-22, 4-13) had two players score in double figures, led by Speer, who had 14 points. Lamar added 14 points, seven rebounds and two steals and Jordan Chatman added four points and two steals.
Florida A&M did a great job disrupting Southern shots in the contest, coming away with five blocks. Chase Barrs led the way individually for the Rattlers with three rejections.
