Florida A&M defeated by Bethune-Cookman 7-6 in 11 innings

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. --The Florida A&M Rattlers fell 7-6 in an 11-inning matchup to the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats Saturday.

Senior Grant Harrison (0-1) took the loss on the mound for Florida A&M (8-15, 3-2). Freshman Carson Kelly started the ballgame and went five innings, surrendering four runs, two earned, on three hits, walking two and striking out one.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Rattlers got the scoring started early, putting one run on the board in the top of the first inning. Florida A&M got on the board thanks to senior Sebastian Greico's RBI double with two outs.

The Wildcats then rallied to score four runs and take a 4-1 lead before the Rattlers got back on the board in the eighth. The Florida A&M offense exploded for five runs, highlighted by a two-run triple off the bat of sophomore Jordan , which brought the score to 6-4 in favor of the Rattlers. The Rattlers were unable to hold the lead, as Bethune-Cookman scored three times over the remaining three innings to grab the 7-6 win.
