Birmingham, AL-- Florida A&M softball earned Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) honors this week as Zoryana Hughes was named Co-Pitcher of the Week and Nyah Morgan was named Hitter of the Week.  
 
Zoryana Hughes had another dominant week on the mound, going 2-0 in two appearances. Hughes pitched one complete game and a shutout. Hughes struck out 13 batters in 12 innings, including striking out three consecutive batters in the final game of the series when Mississippi Valley had the bases loaded with no outs. Hughes also finished with a 0.58 ERA, allowing only one run, and had a .250 opponent batting average. 
 
Nyah Morgan was one of the Rattlers top hitters this weekend, going 3-6 and drove in 6 RBIs. Morgan had multiple extra base hits, including one double and a 3-run home run. Morgan had a slugging percentage of 1.167 and an on-base percentage of .556.
