Rattlers set to host Trinity College Tigers Friday night

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –– The Florida A&M Rattlers (2-5) will look to build on their exciting 66-63 victory over Presbyterian when they host Trinity College Tigers on Friday evening at 7 p.m. in the Al Lawson Center. The Rattlers are undefeated at home this season, having won both their games in Tallahassee, including a dominant 110-68 win over Trinity Baptist.

Leading the way for FAMU are guards Milton Matthews and Sterling Young, who are both averaging 11.7 points per game. Matthews has proven to be a dangerous threat from beyond the arc, connecting on 20 three-pointers this season while shooting 90.9% from the free throw line. Young has been efficient from the field, shooting 40.9% while alsocontributing ten assists on the season.

The Rattlers have also gotten solid production from Shaqir O'Nealwho is averaging 8.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game while shooting an impressive 48.9% from the field. Jordan Chatman has provided additional perimeter scoring, hitting 44% of his three-point attempts.

While FAMU has struggled on the road this season, they've shown they can be dominant at home. The Rattlers will look to control the pace and cut down on turnovers, as they're averaging 15 per game this season. Defensively, FAMU will aim to protect the paint with Ja'Derryus Eatmon and Jamine Charles, who have combined for 14 blocks this season.

This will be just the third home game for the Rattlers this season, who have played five of their first seven games on the road. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Eastern at the Al Lawson Center.
