BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –– The Florida A&M Rattlers (1-8) head to Birmingham to take on the Samford Bulldogs for the first time in women's basketball.

The Rattlers are looking for another win after their 85-57 win versus North Florida Ospreys at home Dec. 7. However, FAMU has struggled on the road this season, going 0-8 in away games.

The Rattlers are led by Cheyenne McEvans, who ranks fourth in the SWAC in scoring (14.0 ppg.), and she leads in field goal percentage (.488) as well as 3-point field goal percentage (.481). Sydney Hendrix is scoring 12.2 points per game and grabbing a team-high 6.8 rebounds per game.

The Samford women's basketball team enters the game with a record of 4-9 after a 103-64 loss at TCU.

The Bulldogs are led by  Emily Bowman, who ranks fifth in the Southern Conference in scoring (12.4 ppg.), and she leads the league in rebounding (9.9 rpg.) and blocked shots (2.5 bpg.). Sophomore guard Kennedy Langham is second on the squad in scoring, averaging 10.5 points per game.

The Rattlers are seeking their first road win of the season. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Eastern at the Pete Hanna Center.
