HOW IT HAPPENED
SET ONE | Neither team hit particularly well, both finishing under .100, but the Wildcats claimed the opening set 25-23. They jumped to an early 5-1 lead, with three of those points coming off attacking errors.

The score was close – a block by Sanford and Isis Williams evened it at 23-all – but FAMU never gained the lead.

SET TWO | Knotted at 3-all, B-CU used a 5-0 run to pull ahead. However, the Rattlers made things interesting toward the end of the frame with a 5-0 run of their own. They led 19-16 at the conclusion of the stretch and withstood five ties before Sanford sealed the win with back-to-back kills.

SET THREE | The set featured eight ties, the last at 15-15. FAMU led by as many as six, 22-16.

SET FOUR | Watts recorded her 1,000th kill in the final set, rattling off four straight during a 12-0 run.

UP NEXT
The Rattlers will return home to wrap up their regular season schedule with Jackson State (Nov. 15) and Mississippi Valley State (Nov. 17).
