TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Jalen Speer led the Rattlers with 15 points tonight, but the Rattlers fell to the Grambling Tigers 65-52.
The Rattlers (2-12, 0-3) had two players score in double figures, led by Jalen Speer, who had 15 points and four assists. K'Jei Parker tacked on 10 points and four assists and Shannon Grant added eight points.
How It Happened
Florida A&M struggled out of the gate, falling behind 29-23 heading into halftime.
Grambling kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing a 55-37 advantage before Florida A&M went on a 5-0 run to shrink the deficit to 55-42 with 7:15 to go in the contest. The Rattlers were unable to cut further into the deficit by the end of the game, losing 65-52. Florida A&M shot well from three-point range in the half, hitting four shots from deep to score 12 of its 29 points.
