TALLAHASSEE, Fla. |Â The Florida A&M volleyball team wrapped action in the FAMU Invitational presented by Sonny's BBQ Sunday (Sept. 10) with a 3-0 loss (15-25, 20-25, 15-25) to Georgia Tech. Freshman Iyonnie Sanford led the offense with nine kills, finishing with a hitting percentage of .304.

How It Happened
SET 1 | With her first service ace of the day, Brooke Hudson earned the Rattlers their first lead of the match at 3-2. FAMU maintained its advantage from there, commanding a 9-6 edge with the help of a 3-0 run, but it was followed by seven unanswered points from Tech that allowed the visitors to pull away for good.Â
SET 2 | The Rattlers fell behind on the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way. Isis Williams and Iyonnie Sanford partnered at the net to pull their team within one, 10-9; however, it was the closest deficit until a late 5-1 rally saw FAMU again down by one at 19-18.Â
SET 3 | A GT attacking error helped FAMU to a 1-0 lead, but it was shortlived. The visitors led by as many as eight in the final stanza.Â
