JACKSONVILLE, Fla. | The Florida A&M volleyball team rallied from a 2-0 hole to secure a comeback five-set victory (21-25, 22-25, 25-23, 25-18, 15-13) over Northern Arizona Friday (Sept. 1) at Swisher Gymnasium.
The out-of-conference victory improved the Rattlers' overall record to 1-4 on the season.
The team was led by double-doubles from both Brooke Lynn Watts, who had 13 kills and 16 digs, and Emerald Jacobs, who had 14 kills and 15 digs. Iyonnie Sanford also added 12 kills to help the offense. On the defensive end, Brooke Hudson chipped in with 32 digs; the graduate libero entered the match needing 11 to surpass 1,000 in her career.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Rattlers found themselves in an early hole, dropping the first set 25-21. Florida A&M trailed by as many as six points as Northern Arizona grabbed the advantage for good at 5-4 in a set that was knotted up just once before the Lumberjacks took control.
SET 2 | Florida A&M dropped the second set 25-22, digging a 2-0 hole in the match. The Rattlers couldn't survive a furious Northern Arizona rally in the second set, falling after leading by seven points at 13-6 earlier in the set.
SET 3 | Florida A&M fought back to pull within two sets to one, winning its first set of the match in the third stanza. The Rattlers took the lead for good at 8-7 in a set that showcased three lead changes before Florida A&M took over the lead. They then carried that lead to a 25-23 set win.
SET 4 | Florida A&M continued their comeback, winning the fourth set 25-18 to bring the match level at two sets apiece. The Rattlers took the lead for good at 9-8 in a set that had just one lead change.
SET 5 | The Rattlers seized set five and the game in spite of falling behind by as many as five points at 9-4 before rallying to secure the victory. Florida A&M jumped in front at 13-12 and held on to take the set, totaling 10 kills.
