Rattlers announce cross country 2023 schedule

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –– Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Garfield Ellenwood has officially announced the 2023 schedule for the Florida A&M Rattlers. The Rattlers are scheduled to participate in four meets leading up to the SWAC Championship in Tallahassee, Florida, on October 23.

"We are looking forward to the season and building upon the momentum we established this past spring," said Ellenwood. "We have a solid group of young ladies that are focused, motivated, and determined, everything you need to be successful. We look forward to a great cross country season."

The Rattlers will open up in Jacksonville at the North Florida Invitational on September 1. Two weeks later, the Rattlers will travel to Gainesville to compete in the Mountain Dew Classic on September 15, then head to Daytona Beach to compete in the Embry-Riddle University XC Classic the next day.

On September 29, the Rattlers will stay in Tallahassee to compete in the FSU Invite for their final regular season meet.

The Rattlers will cap off the season in Tallahassee at the SWAC Championship on October 23 as they look to win their first SWAC Championship.
