TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida A&M Football has a student-athlete named to the Phil Steele Preseason All-American team for the third straight year as punter Trey Wilhoit was named a 2023 Phil Steele FCS Preseason 2nd Team All-American.

Wilhoit joined the Rattlers after spending the 2022 season at Eastern Illinois. In 2022, Wilhoit was named to the All-OVC 1st Team and an FCS Punter of the Year Semifinalist. Wilhoit finished the season ranked 6th in the nation with an average of 44 yards per punt.

Wilhoit joins the names of Isaiah Land and Markquese Bell to extend the Rattlers' streak of Phil Steele Preseason All-Americans. Wilhoit is one of six student-athletes representing an HBCU and one of three from the SWAC.
