Tallahassee, FL | Florida A&M women's basketball return home after a two-game road trip in Texas to face Jackson State Saturday at 2 PM. The Rattlers look to bounce back from a two-point loss to Prairie View A&M.

Last Outing

The Rattlers held Prairie View A&M to just 17.4 percent from deep in a 4-for-23 shooting performance but fell 51-49 to the Lady Panthers (2/6). Mide Oriyomi led the Rattlers with 16 points, seven rebounds, and two steals. Paulla Weekes added eight points, 10 rebounds, and three steals, and Ahriahna Grizzle helped out with eight points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. Florida A&M out-rebounded Prairie View A&M 46-30, led by Weekes' 10 boards. The Rattlers also grabbed 15 offensive rebounds and scored 18 second chance points.



Impact Player of the Week

Mide Oriyomi earned SWAC Impact Player of the Week for her performance against Prairie View.

  • Mide Oriyomi leads the Rattlers with 85 rebounds, averaging 5.0 per game. Skylar Baltezegar is second on the team with 77 rebounds, averaging 4.5 per game.
  • Ahriahna Grizzle ranks third in the SWAC in free throw percentage (80.3). Dylan Horton also ranks sixth in the SWAC in free throw percentage (78.6).
  • The Rattlers have three players ranked in the top 10 in the SWAC in steals per game. Dylan Horton ranks fourth (2.1), Ivet Subirats ranks sixth (1.95), and Ahriahna Grizzle ranks seventh (1.95).
