Rattlers to host Grambling State on senior day, honor 1978 SIAC champions at halftime

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –– Florida A&M men's basketball is back in Tallahassee to host the Grambling State Tigers as they look to win their third straight game on senior day.

The Rattlers will honor four seniors in Chase Barrs, Legend Stamps, Tarig Eisa, and Noah Meren before the start of the men's basketball game.

Scouting the Rattlers
• Jordan Tillmon leads the Rattlers in scoring during SWAC play, averaging 11.8 PPG. Byron Smith (10.2 PPG), Jaylen Bates (8.7 PPG), Dimingus Stevens (8.3), and Noah Meren (7.9 PPG) follow.
• Dimingus Stevens is shooting 43% from three during SWAC play. Stevens scored a career-high 24 points making seven threes in the win versus Mississippi Valley.
• Jaylen Bates leads the Rattlers in rebounds, averaging 8.2 RPG during SWAC play. Bates grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds versus Bethune-Cookman.
• The Rattlers' strength this season has been their three-point defense (32.4%) and blocks (3.9 BPG).
 
Scouting the Tigers
• The Tigers have three players averaging 10+ points per game in Cameron Christon (#1, 14.1), Carte'are Gordon (#4, 10.9), and Shawndarius Cowart (#10, 10.8).
• Grambling State has one of the best defenses in the nation as they're ranked 4th in the nation in defensive field goal percentage (38.5%).
• Grambling State is one of the best in the nation getting to the free throw line as they've attempted the 15th most in the nation, averaging 22.9 attempts per game
