Houston, TX | Florida A&M women's basketball will travel to the lone star state for two SWAC match-ups. First match-up, the Rattlers will face Texas Southern Saturday at 4 PM ET. Then the Rattlers will travel to Prairie View to take on the Panthers Monday at 6:30 PM ET.

Last Outing

The Rattlers are coming off a 77-68 loss to Alabama State. The Rattlers entered the fourth quarter with a 60-55 edge. Florida A&M played well near the basket, scoring 12 of its 20 points in the paint. Alabama State then erased the Rattlers lead in the final quarter for a 77-68 comeback victory. Florida A&M took advantage of its opportunities in the post, scoring four of its eight points in the paint.

Ahriahna Grizzle had a career-high 31 points and added seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Mide Oriyomi helped out with three points, seven rebounds, three steals, and three blocks, and Dylan Horton chipped in with 11 points. Staysha Allen pulled down four offensive rebounds, and Florida A&M did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 17 boards that resulted in 11 second chance points.

SWAC Honors

Player of the Week: Ahriahna Grizzle contributed 19 points in Florida A&M's overtime win against Alabama A&M. Her 19 points versus AAMU was a career-high that was topped by a 31-point performance during FAMU's next game against Alabama State. 

Impact Player of the Week: Mide Oriyomi connected on a buzzer-beater to help lead the Florida A&M women's basketball team over Alabama A&M in overtime on Saturday. She posted a career-high 24 points and added eight rebounds during FAMU's 69-67 win over the Bulldogs. For the week, she averaged 13.5 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game.

• Mide Oriyomi leads the Rattlers with 85 rebounds, averaging 5.0 per game. Skylar Baltezegar is second on the team with 77 rebounds, averaging 4.5 per game.
• Skyalr Baltezegar ranks fifth in the SWAC in blocks per game (1.1)
• Ahriahna Grizzle ranks second in the SWAC in free throw percentage (80.7). Dylan Horton also ranks fourth in the SWAC in free throw percentage (79.9).
• The Rattlers have three players ranked in the top 10 in steals per game. Dylan Horton ranks fourth (2.1), Ahriahna Grizzle ranks sixth (2.0), and Ivet Subirats ranks seventh (1.9).
