TALLAHASSEE, FL --The Florida A&M women's basketball team kept Cal to just 39 percent shooting from the field, but fell 76-38 to the Golden Bears at home Monday.

Ahriahna Grizzle led the Rattlers (0-4) with nine points and three steals. Nashani Gilbert also added nine points and two steals and Jaliya Sharp helped out with three points and six rebounds from the bench.

Led by Sharp's three offensive rebounds, Florida A&M did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 13 boards that resulted in three second chance points.

How It Happened

Florida A&M struggled out of the gate, falling behind 18-8 at the end of the first quarter.

The Rattlers continued to lose ground in the second quarter and faced a 36-19 halftime deficit.

Florida A&M's deficit continued to grow after halftime, and the Rattlers faced a 52-29 disadvantage heading to the fourth quarter. Florida A&M played well near the basket, scoring six of its 10 points in the paint.
