Rattlers hold Oaklanders to 171 yards in 28-0 win

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. --Led by a crushing defensive effort that kept the Lincoln (Ca.) offense to 171 total yards, Florida A&M took down the Oaklanders 28-0 at home Saturday night to win their 19th straight at home.

The win improved Florida A&M's record to 9-1 on the season while the fell to 0-11.

Terrell Jennings totaled 53 yards to lead the Rattlers' ground attack in the game, picking up 6.6 yards per carry along the way. Kevin Sawyer Jr. also tacked on 37 yards on the ground, picking up 9.2 yards per carry.

Nicholas Dixon hauled in two catches for 25 yards.

Deco Wilson led the Florida A&M defensive effort, totaling five tackles, one interception, and defensive touchdown. James Ash added one interception and Johnny Chaney Jr. had four tackles, 1.0 TFL, and one sack in the win.

The Rattlers won the turnover battle in Saturday's game, forcing two turnovers while coughing the ball up one time, with Florida A&M turning those takeaways into 14 points.

Defensively, Florida A&M did an impressive job limiting the offensive attack, holding the Oaklanders to 171 total yards.
