TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | Florida A&M wide receiver Xavier Smith was named the East-West Shrine Bowl HBCU Offensive Player of the Week after his dominating performance in the 38-25 win versus Alabama A&M.

Smith finished with eight receptions for 96 yards and a season-high three touchdowns in the win.

Smith and the Rattlers are scheduled to play the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils Saturday, October 1, at 6 p.m. in Bragg Memorial Stadium.
