Jacksonville, FL | Florida A&M baseball (22-23, 15-6 SWAC) picked up their first non-conference win of the season defeating Jacksonville 5-0 at Sessions Stadium.
The Rattlers scored the game's first points on a wild pitch that sent Grant Rowell across home plate to give the Rattlers a 1-0 lead. Adam Haidermota drove in another run at the top of the second on an RBI single to make it a 2-0 game. LJ Bryant hit a solo home run at the top of the fourth to give the Rattlers a 3-0 advantage. Bryant's home run was his fifth of the season. The Rattlers added to their lead on an RBI bunt single by Jared Weber to make it a 4-0 game. The Rattlers crossed home plate again at the top of the sixth on a ground out by Robert Robinson that brought Ethan Jenkins across home plate.
The Rattlers are back in action Friday to kick off their weekend series against Alabama State at 5 p.m.
