TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | Florida A&M softball honors three seniors as they host Alabama State this weekend with one goal in mind, clinching a spot in the SWAC Tournament.
The Rattlers are third in the SWAC East Division and can clinch a spot in the SWAC Tournament with two wins versus the Hornets.
The Last Time Rattlers Played the Hornets
The Rattlers opened up the SWAC with a road trip to Montgomery, Alabama, which they were unable to win a game versus the Hornets (3-6, 3-5, 4-8)
Rattlers Honor Three Seniors
The Rattlers will honor pitcher/first baseman
Brandice Boatwright, second baseman Aniyza Vargas, and catcher
Zoi Hall.
Brandice Boatwright enters the weekend with 59 appearances on the mound, 15 wins, and 69 strikeouts for her pitching career. Boatwright has a career ERA of 6.28. Boatwright has 49 hits, 21 RBIs, and one home run in her Rattlers career as a hitter.
Aniyza Vargas enters the weekend with 16 hits, ten runs, and five RBIs in her Rattlers career as a hitter.
Zoi Hall enters the weekend with three hits, two runs, and two RBIs in her Rattlers career as a hitter.

Scouting the Rattlers
• The Rattlers can count on hitting a double as they're tied for first in the SWAC in total doubles (51) and second in the SWAC in doubles per game (1.16)

Nyah Morgan has been a doubles machine this season as she's ranked eighth in the nation with 16 doubles
• True freshman
Lauryn Peppers has been one of our best pitchers this season as she leads the SWAC and is ranked top-100 in the nation in hits allowed per seven innings (5.32). Peppers also leads the Rattlers with a 2.59 ERA.
Scouting the Hornets
• The Hornets are the other team in the SWAC tied for the most doubles (51). The Hornets also rank first in the SWAC in double plays and stolen bases per game.
• Bailey Greenlee is a strikeout machine as she has the second-most strikeouts in the SWAC with 107.
• Kindall DeRamus is the Hornets' biggest offensive threat as she ranks nationally in stolen bases (9th, 33), stolen bases per game (10th, .75), hits (11th, 61), and batting average (34th, .419)
